Optional Modules
- Accounts Payable
- Bank Reconciliation
- Cost Recovery
- Deposit Slips
- Past Due Notices
- Payroll
- PCLaw Satellite
Accounts Payable
- This module is a standard component of PCLawPro; it is optional only for PCLawJr.
- Are you rummaging through file folders searching for groups of invoices you want to pay on one check, and then spending more time manually calculating the amounts due? Or are you passing up on supplier discounts you’re entitled to because the process just takes too much time?
- The Accounts Payable module gives you an easy way of tracking payments due. Expenses that you will be paying in the future, on behalf of either your firm or your
clients, can be entered here. You can charge expenses to clients, and you can print checks. You can pay these expenses, see a complete payment history, and keep track of
purchases from vendors and suppliers. Each entry updates the Client Ledger and journals automatically.
Bank Reconciliation
- This module is a standard component of PCLawPro; it is optional only for PCLawJr.
- Take the drudgery out of bank reconciliations!
- Each month a bank reconciliation needs to be performed for every general and trust bank account. You can do this manually, or you can use the Bank Reconciliation
module. This module automatically tallies checks, reconciles deposits and tracks uncleared items. Every trust and general bank account is reconciled separately.
- Print reconciliation reports, including a reconciliation summary, a deposits vs. receipts report and an outstanding check report.
Cost Recovery
- This module is optional for both PCLawPro and PCLawJr.
- Use the Cost Recovery module to automatically transfer information from
your cost recovery systems (telephones, faxes or photocopiers equipped with the capability
of generating usage data) to your PCLawPro/PCLawJr data files.
- You will save time and reduce errors because you don't have to re-enter any data. Charges are automatically recovered and appear on the Client Ledger.
Deposit Slips
- This module is a standard component of PCLawPro; it is optional only for PCLawJr.
- Use the Deposit Slips module to automatically generate and print deposit slips for your general and trust bank receipts. You can use these when you deposit the funds in your bank.
- Note: Check with your bank before using this function. Not all banks accept automated deposit slips. In addition, if your bank does accept automated deposit
slips, you may need to print them using a particular format. You can do so using the Template Editor function of PCLawPro/PCLawJr.
Past Due Notices
- This module is a standard component of PCLawPro; it is
optional only for PCLawJr.
- Let your clients know they owe you money.
- The Past Due Notices module allows you to automatically send a statement to clients who have not paid their bills.
- The notices remind clients of the amount they owe and, if you wish, any interest on that amount. You can adjust the text on past due notices for clients with
accounts receivables that fall into predefined periods (for example, 30, 60 or 90 days).
Payroll for Windows
- This module is optional for both PCLawPro and PCLawJr.
- Imagine having a faster, easier way to do your payroll. A way so
integrated with PCLawPro/PCLawJr for Windows that you use the same checks
and post your payroll data to the General Ledger with one click of the mouse. A way so
powerful that some payrolls can be calculated by simply clicking a Calculate button.
- After you have installed Payroll for Windows, use the Advisor (a payroll
"expert" that guides you through the necessary steps) to set up and calculate
your payroll. When you close a payroll period, your PCLawPro/PCLawJr books
are updated automatically.
PCLaw Satellite
- This module is optional for both PCLawPro and PCLawJr.
- The Satellite module allows you the flexibility of working with Time
Sheet, Fee Sheet and Expense Recovery functions away from your main PCLawPro/PCLawJr
system, on any non-networked computer. For example, you may wish to set up your home or
portable computer as a Satellite and work on these functions at your convenience,
transferring the information back to your main PCLawPro/PCLawJr data files
when you return to the office.
